The Honorary Consul attended the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2024 and met with officials and dignitaries from the jurisdictional states of Karnataka, Telangana and Maharashtra. He also met with key Central level officials like Honorable Minister of Education, Government of India, Mrs Smriti Irani.
India Today Conclave

The Honorary Consul was invited for the India Today Conclave on 15 and 16 March 2024. India Today Conclave is India’s premier thought leadership forum, established in 2002, designed to bring together top leaders, policymakers, intellectuals, scientists, business executives, and global thinkers for in-depth discussions on critical issues shaping India and the world.
Khmer Konnection
June 2024
The Honorary Consul hosted the Diplomatic Fraternity of Bangalore at Khmer Kitchen, Cambodian Restaurant, and promoted Cambodian cuisine. The cuisine was blended to give a flavour of Cambodia, along with the popular Asian items. The dinner was attended by officials from Israel, Estonia, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Namibia, Mali and Slovenia. Khmer Kitchen is the only Cambodian restaurant in India.
Independence Day Celebrations

The Government of Karnataka hosted the 77th Indian Independence Day and invited the Diplomatic Fraternity of Bangalore to attend the reception. It was attended by officials from Netherlands, Great Britain, Israel, Australia, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Cambodia, Tunisia, Colombia; to name a few

Meeting with the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka

The Honorary Consul held crucial meetings with the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka- Honorable Minister H.K. Patil, Secretary of Department Dr Salma K Fahim and Director of Tourism Mr Rajendra; along with other officials of the Department of Tourism. The Minister consented to establishment of a ‘Sister City relationship’ between Bangalore and Siem Reap and initiate Direct flights for greater connectivity between the two regions.
Dr Salma Fahim, Secretary, Department of Tourism was instrumental in establishing this close relationship.
Delegation of Karnataka Administrative Officers

The Honorary Consul facilitated a high level delegation from Administrative officers from Government of Karnataka, where 8 officials travelled to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and met with Minister Samheng Boros and reiterated interest of Government of Karnataka to have closer cooperation with provinces of Cambodia.

The Honorary Consul of Cambodia, Vietnam and Czech Republic was invited by the Global Yoga Summit to promote the benefits of Yoga and its popularization in different countries of the world.
Delegation of PARA Olympics to Cambodia

A team of the Throwball Delegation of India participated in a competition in the International level Para Olympic competition in Cambodia and received great recognition and accolades. The Honorary Consul facilitated several formalities relating to the participation including issuance of visas.
