Freedom Drive

Round Table India organised a Flag Hoisting Ceremony and the Honorary Consul was invited to inaugurate it on the Republic Day in January 2025. Round Table International (RTI) is a global, non-political, and non-religious organization founded in 1927 in Norwich, England, by Louis Marchesi. It brings together young men aged 18 to 40 (or 45 in some countries) from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds to foster fellowship, personal development, and community service.

The Honorary Consul was invited to attend the Civic Reception Program organised by the Akhil Bharati Vidyarthi Parishad for Inter-State Living. The event was also attended by former Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr HD Deve Gowda and the Maharaja of Mysore.

Visit of the Delegation from Ministry of Defence to Bangalore

The Honorary Consul invited the Defence Delegation from Cambodia to attend the Aero India Show in 2025. The delegation shared their experience of the show and similarities that India and Cambodia enjoy. They shared that the logo of the Cambodian army was the Indian God Hanuman.

Direct Flights between Bangalore and Siem Reap

The Honorary Consul held meetings with Angkor Air in Cambodia, to discuss the need for Direct flights between South India and Cambodia. Several points were discussed during the meeting including the locational and economic advantages that Bangalore enjoys and the prospects these direct flights hold. Angkor Air was requested to conduct their research regarding the same.

Indian Universities Visit Cambodia

Indian Universities visited Universities in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and signed MOU with Western University. They also met with the Royal University of Phnom Penh and Pannasatra University and explored possibilities of collaboration.

Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit

The Cambodian Chamber of Commerce (CCC) organised a Business Summit in Phnom Penh in March 2025. The event brought together Chamber of Commerce and Business owners from Cambodia and delegations from the countries of ASEAN attended the conference. The Honorary Consul attended the event and interacted with several dignitaries from Southeast Asia.

Sister City Agreement between Bangalore and Siem Reap

The Honorary Consul met the Deputy Governor of Siem Reap and furthered the discussion on Sister City between Bangalore and Siem Reap. The Governor welcomed the initiative and offered support from office to promote Siem Reap-Karnataka ties.

Nutrition program in Cambodia

Satya Sai Annapoorna Trust visited the Honorary Consulate to start a Nutrition program in schools of Cambodia and establish borewells in some rural districts of Cambodia. This initiative was supported by the NGO Vidya Jyothi Trust. The Honorary Consulate facilitated and supported these initiatives.

Textile Delegation to Cambodia

The Honorary Consul facilitated a delegation of textile owners of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from Tamil Nadu to interact with the Garment Manufacturers of Cambodia. A Buyer Seller meet was organised by CII and Honorary Consulate supported by the Embassy of India in Cambodia and Ministry of Commerce, Government of Cambodia where the Indian and Cambodian side tried to understand each other’s business and decided to establish a Cambodian Garment Training institute in Tamil Nadu.

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organised a delegation of founders and leaders of Indian companies and it was led by the Honorable Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal. The Honorary Consul was invited to be a part of the delegation.

The Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) , a leading Business chamber of Karnataka led a delegation with its business entrepreneurs to Siem Reap and met with the Deputy Governor and the officials of Siem Reap. The delegation tried to understand the businesses in Siem Reap and the sectors which offer a potential for growth.

Ambassador of Cambodia’s Visit to Bangalore

The Ambassador of Cambodia to India H.E. Rath MANY along with the Deputy Ambassador My Bunley visited Bangalore in September 2025. She visited the Buddhist Temple on the eve of Chum Ben and received blessings from the Buddhist monks.

Ministry of Tourism, Deputy Governor, Government of Karnataka and the Honorary Consul was invited to attend the program. A cultural troop was invited from Cambodia to perform at the event.

A Letter of Intent signed between the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka and Provincial Government of Siem Reap. The two sides agreed to cooperate and promote friendship and closer ties between the provinces. This is expected to enable Direct Flights and Bangalore square and AngkorWat square in each others provinces.

The Honorary Consul facilitated an Exhibition of Indian Universities in Phnom Penh where Universities, students and parents were invited to visit and understand the courses and disciplines of the Indian Universities. The event was organised by Edunial and supported by the Embassy of India in Cambodia.

Khmer Kitchen invited chefs from Cambodia to organise a special dinner ‘Khmer Konnection’ for the Diplomatic Fraternity and other important dignitaries of Bangalore. The Honorary Consul hosted the Diplomatic Fraternity and promoted Cambodian cuisine among the dignitaries.

Inauguration of Direct Flight between Kolkata and Siem Reap

The Honorary Consul facilitated the initiation of Direct Flights between Kolkata and Siem Reap. This is the first Direct Flight from a city in India to Siem Reap. It intends to promote tourism and increase people-to-people ties between the two countries. The Embassy extended its support and the Ambassador attended the program organised by Indigo relating to the inaugural flight in Kolkata.

The Honorary Consul was invited as the Chief Guest of Oxford Institutions for the Annual Day of the institution. The Honorary Consul addressed the students and awarded them with certificates of recognition for their performance. The Oxford College of Science is a prominent educational institution located in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, offering a wide range of programs in Science, Arts, Commerce, Management, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Law, Journalism, Education, and Pre-University courses.

Delegation of Visit from Ministry of Information, Government of Cambodia

An 8-member delegation from the Identification Directorate of Cambodia, led by H.E. Heng Chamroeun, Deputy Director General of Identification, Ministry of Interior of Cambodia visited Bangalore to attend a study tour to understand the implementation of identification work and the identification management system of the Aadhaar project from 1-4 December 2025. This study visit was organized and facilitated by UNDP India and Cambodia. The delegation visited the Department of e-Governance, Government of Karnataka and had extensive discussions to study the use cases and implementation of the project.
